A Girl and Her Straw

My adorable, precious niece Tamsin may be recalcitrant when it comes to a bottle, but she has made some impressive strides in the art of the soda straw!  Here is a snapshot into Tamsin's newfound talent, which hopefully will not take the same path as her mother's (who chewed so energetically on her straws that I had to provide my own dedicated straw at the movies if I was to get any liquid out of our shared cup).

Oh, my sweet girl!

This may sound both vain and stupid, but I look a lot nicer in that video than I think I usually do. I look in the mirror and see dark shadows, zits, flat hair, a long face, man shoulders, and a nice two-baby pooch. But in that video I look nice. I wish I looked like that all the time. Or saw myself differently than I do! I guess it's like standing next to a Monet: up close (or in my head) it's all just a big mess!

Oh, and sharing a drink with Camryn has taught me why no one liked sharing drinks with me long ago!

Oh, man ... when she finally replaces an intake of breath for the chomp, chomp, chomp ... she'll suck down a 72 ouncer in no time flat.
