About Us
- Katie (and Ken) Baldwin
- OR, United States
- I am a graduate of the American Studies and Spanish programs of Brigham Young University, a lover of all things Humanities, and with weaknesses for naughty junk food, 1990s romantic comedies, beautiful clothes/shoes/makeup, and Halloween. I like to daydream about being a professor, an archaeologist, an FBI agent, or an actress. I also love my three adorable nieces. Kenny is a BYU graduate of the Engineering and Business schools who dreams of becoming a police officer. He loves everything motorcycle and guitar, baseball, basketball, and snowboarding, and would never say no to Italian food or clothes shopping. He loves horror films, watching food shows on the Travel Channel, and cop shows, all of which have led to some exciting adventures for us! We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served missions in NYC (me) and northern California (Ken), and love the Gospel and our family and friends.

...and they are both perfect!
I opened the hospital room door this evening to discover Megan and Tamsin happily sharing a quiet mother-daughter moment, and felt only a wee bit bad that Megan interrupted Tamsin's dinner to hand her to me. She is absolutely perfect, just like her older sister. I was surprised how much she looks like her mom! Camryn has her mother's eyes but her daddy's face, and is adorable every whit. Tamsin, though, reminds me more of my sister as a baby. She has so much beautiful brown hair! The pictures Karl took of her don't quite capture the unique and lovely shade of that sweet, soft brown hair. But I remember it. Tamsin was so alert as she and I rocked together - she traced my face with her bright, blue, inquisitive eyes, all the while sticking her tongue out and hiccuping. We had a blissful hour, the three of us, and then welcomed more family as Grandma Linda, Daddy, and big sister Camryn came to greet the new little one. Camryn could tell someone new was in the room, and even got curious enough to give a few wide-eyed glances her sister's way and then sidle over to inspect from a safe distance as Grandma Linda held Tamsin out. Camryn leaned down like she was about to give Tamsin a kiss on the head, then pulled back, giggling. She did it one more time before zooming off to knock on the bathroom door and sing, "Ding, dong!", then point out Tamsin's crib and explore Mommy's bed. It took me 25 minutes to drag myself away and come home. I can hardly wait to see my darling nieces again!
