My new office!

This Friday our office was bustling with moving boxes, cleaning, and general frenzy. We're moving to Thanksgiving Point! In anticipation of the move, I had my desk already packed up and my boxes neatly labeled (and misjudged the number of items I would be moving and had to correct the moving labels twice with white-out) and was eagerly anticipating a beautiful new office and the opportunity to organize and decorate my new desk! Not sure yet how I feel about the longer trek to Thanksgiving Point from Provo, but we'll see tomorrow morning when I fight rush-hour traffic to get to Lehi.

Saturday was our official move-in day, and we dodged rain drops and wind to get settled. Three hours after arriving with an enthusiastic eye to feng shui-ing my new workspace, I was sweaty, tired, and wondering who didn't turn on the air conditioning, why my computer keyboard wasn't working, and if my computer would actually connect to the internet before Monday. This morning I was at work again, blurry-eyed at seven in the morning and taking customer service calls to help alleviate the inevitable first-morning-in-the-new-office Monday mania. My desk is just about right, so a a virtual tour of my new digs follows!

Goodbye, Orem office! One last look....

A last lunchtime walk among the budding trees:

Gorgeous blossoms fill the bright spring sky:

Our new office at Thanksgiving Point:

The first-floor lobby:

The elevators - how swanky!

My Zen corner, to help with those particularly abrasive customers:

Art in the facilities!

The luxurious ladies' room!

And my new desk, in most of its glory!

I LOVE the new desk!!! Man, I miss having that little spot that's all my own, that I can decorate and redecorate and rearrange some more without other people giving me the stink-eye and going, "Didn't you just arrange that, like, yesterday?" Well, yeah. And YESTERDAY it looked fine. But TODAY it doesn't. Hence the rearrange. Um, hello--what's hard to understand here?!

As soon as we get new digs, though, I'll be all over that like a fat man on a piece of ham. Uh, HUH!

Seriously - I was getting excited over magnets! Others may laugh or scorn, but when your desk can give you that much joy, just imagine your capacity for happiness!

I'm glad you take lots of pictures, now I can see what it looks like where Stephen works. It looks really classy. Plus, Thanksgiving Point is a fun place to be with their gardens, restaurant, etc. Can't wait to see you guys Sunday. By the way, do you guys like shrimp?

So, was I the only one that had a good laugh at the picture of the bathroom?

Might be a little jealousy on my part...my bathroom at home doesn't look that nice!
