I've decided that we need some exercise in our lives, so Kenny and I have been walking in the evenings when Provo cools off a little. I tend to walk pretty fast, pumping my arms and holding good posture, but Kenny likes to stroll a little slower, so we find a happy medium. We enjoy the sights of central Provo together - the sunset on the mountains, the clouds in the evening sky, the weird folks that come out for an airing, the sprinklers we run through together while singing the Mario Brothers' theme, the oblivious drivers that nearly run over innocent pedestrians, and the neighbors who water their lawns in their underwear. We've been heading up and back on Center Street, turning around a block or so east of Ottavio's, Provo's premier Italian restaurant. I've been there once before and had a caesar salad that I liked, but my favorite part of the restaurant is the Sienese contrada flags that adorn the restaurant! I hope I can stop in again soon. Tonight I even coaxed Kenny into jogging every few blocks or so! I've included some pictures to illustrate our nightly adventures - sadly, I didn't get shots of the man energetically flipping off something or someone down the street, our elderly neighbor watering his lawn in his garment top, or the bong shop and its flamboyant odors, nor could I capture the unwashed-body smell that lingers outside our local Albertson's. I hope, however, that you enjoy the rest!
A beautiful shot of Y Mountain in the evening.

How hard is it to throw your trash away? The garbage can is right there!

Cool old signs.

Center Street glowing in the sunset.

The Boy Scout Museum decked out for the Fourth of July.

The gorgeous mountains emerging from graceful oak trees.

Houses on Center Street in Provo that I'd really like to own!
A pretty little brick house on the corner.

I like the Islamic flare of this one!

A cool old street marker Kenny pointed out: 4th East and Center Street.

This house is so pretty near Halloween!

This one is one of my favorites. Wet camera lens, though!

Very cute, with a cool gate and garage. Too bad it's zoned for a business!

Cute jogger!

Ottavio's! Mmmm.

Lush flower beds on Center Street and University Ave.

A Smart Car! Are we in Europe?

Is a storm approaching?

Pioneer Park, the park next to our house.

The Y as we leave Albertson's (getting movie candy for tomorrow's "The Dark Knight"!)
